New Season of the Legend of Korra

The Legend of Korra is an animated television series that premiered on the Nickelodeon television network in 2012. It was made by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino as a follow-up to their series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. The series was then made into a movie, The Last Airbender 3D the live-action film in 2010.

The series' hero is Korra, a 17-year old girl from the Southern Water Tribe and the re-embodiment of the Avatar after Aang's death. Korra is an avatar that has mastered all four elements; fire, water, earth and wind. She is unable to master the element of wind at first and learns from Tenzin who is one of Aang and Katara's sons who lives near Republic City with his wife and children. Korra who is strong willed and possess a fiery attitude; proves difficult to instruct in the traditional air bending methods and learns to harness her air bending abilities through professional bending matches. There she meets Mako and Bolin of the Fire Ferrets and joins their team, after the league made an exception to allow the "Avatar" to compete when some believed it would be unfair to other competitors. The friendship between the teammates grows, especially between Mako and Korra who then realize that the friendship between them is something more.
With Mako's help during an anti-bending, equalist rally, Korra discovers that Amon the antagonist has the power to remove a person's bending ability. Amon is the eldest brother of Councilman Tarrlok. While imprisoned by his brother whose real name is Noatak. Tarrlok reveals the brothers were taught to blood bend by their father a former criminal Yakone, who 42 years ago was captured by Aang and his blood bending was taken permanently. Noatak over time surpasses his father a runs away, after protecting his younger brother from their father who tries to force the two to do battle.
During the final confrontation with Amon/Noatak Korra losses all her bending abilities, but while trying to save Mako from Amon Korra regains her air bending. Amon is uncovered as a fake after plunging into the water.
Sadden by the loss of her avatar powers, Korra is approached by the spirit of Aang and the avatars of the past, and her manipulation of all elements is restored. She then restores the bending of everyone in Republic City.
The second season Book Two titled spirits begins September the 13th on Nickelodeon. Repeats of the previous season currently air on Nicktoons another Nickelodeon channel.
